I have always been one for more nude/pink lip colours but the adventurous side in me has been unleashed and I am finding myself browsing the darker side of the lipsticks when in Boots..I spotted the Gothic Glam Collection which consists of three 'Gothic' dark vampy shades of lipstick Seduction, Revenge and Scorned available in Superdrug for £2.99 (also in Boots but can't seem to find a link).
I picked up Seduction Shade 1 weeks ago, a dark toned raspberry berry shade, and it is such a beautiful colour. The formulation is creamy and soft and the colour pigmentation is amazing, and lasts amazingly well on the lips. For £2.99 I have to say I was really impressed so hotfooted it back to pick up Revenge-I have always been weary about darker lip shades and stuck to my comfort zone of pinks but actually found that I really liked the darker shade and several family members commented on how nice it looked!. So with a bit more confidence in my ability to pull off a darker lip I settled on Revenge which is a deep maroon shade, again a beautifully pigmented colour which has the same creamy formula making it a dream to apply.
Revenge is Shade 2 from the Gothic Glam Collection, and I have been wearing it day and night, although if pushed I would say Shade 1 is the most wearable for day (For me anyway). However, both shades are just beautiful and I would definitely recommend picking one of these beauty's up as they are so affordable and really do rival some of the more expensive brands when it comes to quality and pigmentation.
I wasn't feeling quite as adventurous when it came to Shade 2 in Scorned a deep purple shade that I know I could never pull off-this one really is a vampy gothic shade and really not my colour at all! Shade 1 Seduction is my favourite of the two I picked up, and I actually added these two shades into my sisters' Christmas Presents-sharing the love! I will be browsing Collections' in future to see what else they have to offer as I am completely in love with these lipsticks.Have you tried any of Collections' Gothic Glam? And which was your favourite?
