Helloo! Apologies for lack of posting, I have been struck down with a stomach bug and today is the first day I feel relatively back to my oldself, the past few days have been spent in bed surrounded by flat coke( the remedy for all stomach complaints according to mothers/grandmothers), lucozade and towels-don't ask! But now that, fingers crossed, the worst is over I actually feel like I have the energy to get back to blogging so lets' get on with it shall I?
Today is all about this beautiful Estée Lauder Set I received for Christmas, It is encased in a beautiful hard case which unfolds threefold to reveal eye shadows, lipsticks, blushers, bronzer, eye pencils and lip glosses! They have seriously packed alot into this palette and although I don't know the cost, I am sure it was very expensive. The packaging itself is just so pretty and really sturdy and I imagine it would be a great palette for travelling with, as you would have all your essentials to hand and also a handy mirror enclosed.
There are 30 different shades of eyeshadow ranging from matte, satin and shimmer finishes and some of the shades are really beautiful, I didn't swatch them, as this post would have went on forever. Admittedly there are some colours that I will likely not use, but as there are 30 to choose from there should be a favourite or two in there for everyone. Included in this palette are lip, eye and blush brushes and a duo eyeliner pencil.
There are 15 lip colours to choose from ranging from subtle pinks, to fuchsia and dark plums and two lip glosses a beautiful Fuchsia shimmer and a bronze nude shimmer which are both gorgeous albeit slightly sticky!. Lastly we have 3 blush shades to choose from Pink, Rose and Peach and a bronzer with a subtle shimmer throughout.
This palette is not something I would ever have picked up for myself, but to receive it as a gift is lovely and I really hope I make good use of it as it is just too beautiful to neglect, I am most excited by the lip glosses and the blushers, but I will definitely be experimenting more with some eye shadows. In the meantime I will just continue to stare at this gorgeous palette on this drizzly Sunday.
